Thanks for the feedback. I want to address these individually. As far as consistency goes, what you've described is the nature of the beast with a fast-growing organization, not to mention the fact that we're in an industry that is consistently evolving. We're constantly learning new things, improving our processes, creating new technologies, and embracing new opportunities. There's a difference between trash talk, and direct, open feedback. We don't hesitate to address learning opportunities as we see our employees develop much more quickly when we don't mince words or sacrifice coaching opportunities for the sake of avoiding a tough conversation. Many people thrive in this environment, but not everyone, which we understand. We are a meritocracy and our organizational hierarchy is based 100% on ability and track record. The leadership team is composed of about 50/50 Drive veterans who have succeeded and worked their way up through the company AND high-achieving individuals that have had success in other organizations. We wouldn't be able to grow at the rate we are with under-qualified people leading the charge. We are always looking to improve and would love to get specific feedback around these areas. Please feel free to reach out to myself or anyone else in the organization to talk some more so that we can make every employee's time here a positive experience. -Stephen

Pros

Great team culture with constant peer support, making the role low-stress and collaborative. Hitting goals feels rewarding, especially when it leads to client satisfaction and bonus opportunities. Plus, the flexible work-from-home setup, strong leadership, and overall positive environment make it an enjoyable place to work.

Cons

Heavy workload at times, which can feel fast-paced, but it keeps the day moving and makes the work more engaging. Like many marketing roles, priorities can shift quickly, so staying organized and adaptable is important.

Pros

Local team was awesome and supportive. Only thing that kept me there for longer than 2 weeks.

Cons

Corporate leadership created a culture of constant micromanagement. Employees were regularly called “lazy” during company-wide meetings and singled out in front of everyone. No matter how well you performed or how far above quota you were, there was always another metric to criticize. Work-life balance was practically nonexistent. 60-hour work weeks were not uncommon nor was being expected to work Saturdays. It wasn’t uncommon to receive texts on weekends criticizing activity metrics or demanding more. It felt like you were expected to be available seven days a week. The role was also far more stressful than advertised. Corporate leadership repeatedly described it as a “low-stress sales job,” but the short sales cycle and constant pressure made it anything but. Metrics are set extremely high and even when you do hit them they will ask you why you aren’t doing more. Employee turnover was extremely high, and despite calling itself a marketing agency, the company felt much more like a sales organization where hitting activity metrics and bringing in new clients took priority over everything else. If you don’t mind an extremely high-pressure, micromanaged sales environment, this may be a fit. If you value work-life balance, autonomy, and leadership that trusts high performers, I would look elsewhere.

Drive Social Media is a performance-driven organization, and we recognize that our pace isn't the right fit for everyone. That said, we do not want any employee to feel disrespected or unsupported. We take feedback about leadership and communication seriously and continually evaluate how we can improve. We appreciate you sharing your perspective and wish you success in your future career.
