Pros

Very few. Decent salary but, when the math was done, I would have been making more as a dishwasher with the same hours. My superior was very nice when in the office, as were a few coworkers.

Cons

Stress, lack of support, absolutely no work-life balance, no communication on the team, no training or introductory period for new employees. This is sink or swim, and they view this as a positive. Should be an indicator of culture right there. Can honestly say: I’ve worked a lot of jobs, and this was bar none the worst. Was lied to in my interview about multiple things, including parking, benefits, expectations, hours, and the work itself. Was offered a job an hour after the interview, and realized on my first day when I arrived it was because they were totally desperate for anyone. In an employee-mandated educational training led by the higher-ups, I was told point blank my job would be obsolete within five years, mostly with smugness. I found myself working ridiculous hours almost immediately because of how understaffed they are. My work deteriorated almost immediately, and my desire to do better was destroyed by the absolute lack of resources. The turnover rate is insane. Took the job because I figured the bad reviews here were from disgruntled former employees... best I can tell, the company bombs sites like this with good reviews so that they appear functional. If you enjoy working 70 hours a week for less than minimum wage, then go for it. Otherwise, you’re better off working at Waffle House. At least you’ll get tips.

Thanks for your feedback. I want to make sure all of your concerns are addressed: As far as our company culture goes, we are a digital marketing agency so yes, there are times when you will have to work long hours and some days will be tough. That being said, we do make sure that we have a support system in place so that each employee can receive help on issues they are encountering. Whether or not an employee takes advantage of these support options is completely up to them. Regarding the hiring and introductory period, we work with a professional recruiting service to make sure that we bring on the highest quality talent with the skills to succeed in each job role. While our onboarding/training program is fast-paced, we make sure that every employee is set up for success from the beginning and have structured on-going weekly training session for each department. I apologize if you misunderstood one of the points in our Ongoing Education meetings. We take great pride in providing the resources for each employee to stay up to date with the changes in our company and our industry. I'm sorry to hear that you misconstrued the message that our industry/company is constantly changing and so our job roles will change as a result. Our track record of never having to lay off an employee goes to show that we adapt to the changing environment we are in and value our employees. Thanks again for the feedback. If you would like to discuss any of these topics in greater details please feel free to reach out directly.

Pros

Great team culture with constant peer support, making the role low-stress and collaborative. Hitting goals feels rewarding, especially when it leads to client satisfaction and bonus opportunities. Plus, the flexible work-from-home setup, strong leadership, and overall positive environment make it an enjoyable place to work.

Cons

Heavy workload at times, which can feel fast-paced, but it keeps the day moving and makes the work more engaging. Like many marketing roles, priorities can shift quickly, so staying organized and adaptable is important.

Pros

Local team was awesome and supportive. Only thing that kept me there for longer than 2 weeks.

Cons

Corporate leadership created a culture of constant micromanagement. Employees were regularly called “lazy” during company-wide meetings and singled out in front of everyone. No matter how well you performed or how far above quota you were, there was always another metric to criticize. Work-life balance was practically nonexistent. 60-hour work weeks were not uncommon nor was being expected to work Saturdays. It wasn’t uncommon to receive texts on weekends criticizing activity metrics or demanding more. It felt like you were expected to be available seven days a week. The role was also far more stressful than advertised. Corporate leadership repeatedly described it as a “low-stress sales job,” but the short sales cycle and constant pressure made it anything but. Metrics are set extremely high and even when you do hit them they will ask you why you aren’t doing more. Employee turnover was extremely high, and despite calling itself a marketing agency, the company felt much more like a sales organization where hitting activity metrics and bringing in new clients took priority over everything else. If you don’t mind an extremely high-pressure, micromanaged sales environment, this may be a fit. If you value work-life balance, autonomy, and leadership that trusts high performers, I would look elsewhere.
