Pros

You will get a vast amount of experience in very little time. Your clients will range from restaurants to clothing brands to plumbers. This experience will help you built your portfolio with good pieces .

Cons

Designers are forced to churn out vast amounts of work in a short time frame at the cost of their mental health. Designers are usually at the bottom of the totem pole when it comes to promotions and general attention but carry most of the burden of creating the actual work. I suggest new designers to get all the experience they can get, pad their portfolios, learn all you can, and then leave. You will get treated better and paid way better any other place. Also, don't believe their bs about the bonus and how it adds to you salary. It wont, and you will be lucky to get a bonus. And if you do get it too often, they will change the rules to make it harder to get that bonus. They changed the rules for the bonuses like 3 times during my time there.

I'd invite you to speak to any number of the teams across the country that received a bonus and commission last quarter. If our design isn't high-quality work that incentivizes purchasing intent, it will get sent back after it's created, the designer will feel overworked from having to redo it, the ads won't perform, the team won't bonus, and the designer will feel like it's all fugazi without understanding that this all stems from poor design in the first place. If this job helped you pad your resume to move on to something that's slower-pace and a better fit for you, we're ecstatic for you. We honestly just want everyone to leave better than they came in. Lastly, we can't be picking and choosing clients based on what our creatives think is a "good" or "fun" product. That's not being a good person. All businesses deserve to have strong, impactful marketing — no matter how "boring" they might seem to the creatives. It's our job to help them creatively position themselves in their respective markets.

Pros

Great team culture with constant peer support, making the role low-stress and collaborative. Hitting goals feels rewarding, especially when it leads to client satisfaction and bonus opportunities. Plus, the flexible work-from-home setup, strong leadership, and overall positive environment make it an enjoyable place to work.

Cons

Heavy workload at times, which can feel fast-paced, but it keeps the day moving and makes the work more engaging. Like many marketing roles, priorities can shift quickly, so staying organized and adaptable is important.

Pros

Local team was awesome and supportive. Only thing that kept me there for longer than 2 weeks.

Cons

Corporate leadership created a culture of constant micromanagement. Employees were regularly called “lazy” during company-wide meetings and singled out in front of everyone. No matter how well you performed or how far above quota you were, there was always another metric to criticize. Work-life balance was practically nonexistent. 60-hour work weeks were not uncommon nor was being expected to work Saturdays. It wasn’t uncommon to receive texts on weekends criticizing activity metrics or demanding more. It felt like you were expected to be available seven days a week. The role was also far more stressful than advertised. Corporate leadership repeatedly described it as a “low-stress sales job,” but the short sales cycle and constant pressure made it anything but. Metrics are set extremely high and even when you do hit them they will ask you why you aren’t doing more. Employee turnover was extremely high, and despite calling itself a marketing agency, the company felt much more like a sales organization where hitting activity metrics and bringing in new clients took priority over everything else. If you don’t mind an extremely high-pressure, micromanaged sales environment, this may be a fit. If you value work-life balance, autonomy, and leadership that trusts high performers, I would look elsewhere.
