Pros
I just hit my one-year mark as an Account Executive at Drive Social Media, and honestly, I couldn’t be more grateful for what this past year has brought.
In just 12 months, I’ve learned so much about digital marketing, AI tools, and how to make a real impact for local small and medium-sized businesses. Seeing the work I do directly help business owners in my own community is one of the most rewarding parts of the job.
I’ve also:
Hit bonus a few times (which always feels great!)
Made some amazing friends—like, lifelong, laugh-every-day, wouldn’t-want-to-do-this-without-you kind of friends.
Had the time and support I needed to be present for the birth of my daughter- and her continued development, which means more to me than I can put into words.
Been given space to learn, grow, and yes—mess up sometimes (because that’s part of learning too)
What makes this place even better? The leadership. From my Director to our VP, interim VP and even the C-suite, I genuinely feel like I’m supported, heard, and encouraged. Everyone is working toward the same goal, and it shows.
I feel lucky to be here. It’s not perfect (no place is), but it’s a place where I can grow my career, be there for my family, and work with people I truly enjoy. That’s a rare combo, and I don’t take it for granted.
I even referred multiple friends to apply!
Cons
We cannot control the client interaction piece of the work puzzle. I don't think any business can.
Workload can get heavy if you ask for it. Support comes to those who ask for it- SO ASK FOR IT!
