Uncertainty and stress - Senior Associate DuPont Employee Review

Pros

It's hard to talk about pros because the company is no longer what it was. In all honesty I currently can't see any 'pro's other than a paycheck.

Cons

Extremely stressful environment. Those that remain are in constant fear of layoffs and site closures. Was told point blank that after the merger there would be deeper cuts. You are not safe even if recently hired. If you decide to apply be prepared for the possibility of losing your job. Severance packages in 2017 will be next to nothing. Medical insurance has deteriorated to high deductible PPO. Out of pocket costs are considerable. If your family depends on your income look elsewhere. The DuPont that was no longer exists and the new DuPont does not invest in it's employees. Deep cuts in spending have reduced core values significantly. This review is not sour grapes. Everyone I know that still works for DuPont in Delaware believes they do not have a future with the company. Google articles about the CEO and the take over for more information and then decide if you think applying is worth it.

Pros

Great people, strong commitment to safety, competitive pay and benefits, and excellent work-life balance. The company provides opportunities to work on meaningful projects with talented cross-functional teams, and there is a culture of collaboration and continuous learning. Flexible work arrangements and supportive managers (depending on the organization) make it a great place to build a long-term career.

Cons

Frequent organizational changes and restructuring can create uncertainty, and decision-making can be slowed by bureaucracy. Career growth opportunities may be limited in some organizations, and employees can become siloed or feel disconnected depending on the role and team.
