Pros

There are a lot of pros working with ETRADE, having the ability to access Morgan Stanley products was also a huge plus. You receive a lot of support for exams etc. lots of benefits and flexibility for extra training (specializations)

Cons

The way we are spoken to violates so many HR policies it’s insane. You will work long hours at a lower pay rate than Morgan Stanley counter parts, ETRADE pays the lowest in the industry but they expect you to navigate the job with zero hiccups. Training is long and adequate, but almost feels irrelevant when managers allow certain things and others don’t. It’s a great company to start out with, but tenure will be short once you're no longer useful. If you love the call center environment and don’t care about micromanagement, this is the job for you. But if you want to have a better entry experience in finance, should probably look elsewhere.

Pros

It is a friendly work environment—at least at the Gilbert office. Colleagues are very helpful, and managers are highly supportive of your work. I enjoy working here; there is no office politics. The pay is good, and there are plenty of opportunities to transfer to different roles.

Cons

The new system is nowhere near as good as the old one; I don't know why we were forced to switch. Sometimes, even after you submit a workflow, the new system doesn't even show it. There are plenty of opportunities to transfer to other roles, but applications go completely unanswered. You have to contact HR, yet they barely seem to care. It’s essentially a call center; even though your colleagues are great, you never know if the next customer might ruin your entire day.
