Pros

Here are the pros: - Great benefits from Morgan Stanley, including generous PTO, wellness support through free therapy, amazing maternity and paternity leave (I believe 19-20 weeks), etc. - good brand to have on your resume - worked with some smart people and learned a lot from them. - good pay

Cons

Cons: - Micromanagement to a level I have never seen! Every second of your day is controlled, creating so much anxiety and stress. - extremely toxic environment, especially from management who don’t care about your well being. - High manager turnover- went through almost 5 managers in 5 months - terrible new hire training program - Required metrics changed every other day. For context, I was a Morgan Stanley employee for over 16 years…before they bought E*Trade. Morgan Stanley is not perfect by any means, but my career path has been mostly positive overall. Before going into the Platinum role, I was a financial advisor. Due to unforeseen changes on my team, I wanted to pivot into something more stable and focus more on relationship management. I was encouraged to consider the Platinum role. I saw red flags on my first day. This was the worst role in my career and I am so happy I’m no longer there.

Pros

It is a friendly work environment—at least at the Gilbert office. Colleagues are very helpful, and managers are highly supportive of your work. I enjoy working here; there is no office politics. The pay is good, and there are plenty of opportunities to transfer to different roles.

Cons

The new system is nowhere near as good as the old one; I don't know why we were forced to switch. Sometimes, even after you submit a workflow, the new system doesn't even show it. There are plenty of opportunities to transfer to other roles, but applications go completely unanswered. You have to contact HR, yet they barely seem to care. It’s essentially a call center; even though your colleagues are great, you never know if the next customer might ruin your entire day.
