Pros

Etrade will assist with licensing.

Cons

Please do not be mistaken. Morgan Stanley is all about sales and converting Etrade clients to MS. If you aren’t good at sales or managing quota expectations then you should run for the hills. You will be micromanaged and berated every day you work about your numbers. MS did not and has not offered any sales training before or after changing our roles. I use to love coming to work for Etrade. Now I dread it. . The mandatory office days, strict attendance policy. . Everything. Also with everything being about sales, you can kiss any promotion opportunity you may want away and your bonus… lol good luck.. they will give you 40% and the other 60% sometime next year.

Pros

It is a friendly work environment—at least at the Gilbert office. Colleagues are very helpful, and managers are highly supportive of your work. I enjoy working here; there is no office politics. The pay is good, and there are plenty of opportunities to transfer to different roles.

Cons

The new system is nowhere near as good as the old one; I don't know why we were forced to switch. Sometimes, even after you submit a workflow, the new system doesn't even show it. There are plenty of opportunities to transfer to other roles, but applications go completely unanswered. You have to contact HR, yet they barely seem to care. It’s essentially a call center; even though your colleagues are great, you never know if the next customer might ruin your entire day.
