Pros
Access to lots of techniques, instrumentation and experts. Some state of the art instrumentation, depending on the location. Some sites have a good scientific foundation and interesting culture, while others less so.
Cons
Owned by an investment group, insane expectations for profitability. Current leadership is completely out of touch and either tied to a 1990s mentality or unwilling to learn how this company actually makes money. This company will likely either sell in the next few years or will be parted off, dividing up the major divisions.
