Eurofins EAG is commited to employee development and engagement. We have implemented an employee engagement team that develops and implements activities based on feedback directly from the workforce. Additionally, we have active programs related to cross-training, process improvement, safety improvement, and skills development. Each year we develop a cross-training plan and monitor compliance. Last year, there was cross-training in all four departments and represented 25% of the workforce. We were unable to do external training, but we did train on-line skills training for another 15% of the organization. These numbers exclude the development team and are specific to operations. We have a cross-training plan for this year that is at least equivalent to last year and involves different employees. Our improvement teams are cross-functional, one related to safety/training and one related to quality. We just launched an optical microscopy training program that is self-nomination.
