Pros
You have the opportunity to meet with new people everyday. Pace of the day is mostly determined by the amount of interviews/appointments you set with students (you are expected to meet with a certain amount of students on a weekly basis). Prospective students will share stories about their experiences, goals and interests with you. A lot of the information they share with you is personal with many of their stories become an inspiration to my own personal professional and educational development. It makes you value what you do in admissions a lot more when you are able to help them and they meet graduation requirements.
Cons
HEAVY micro-management from Directors, sometimes your enrollment goals are not persistent, very high call volume expected (avg 400 calls per week), Seems like there is little flexibility if you want to attend school outside of work
