Pros
You’re not stuck in an office
Cons
Terrible management, little-to-no initial training, no on-going training. The company makes it clear, without specifically saying it, that you are just a body they need to put on a site. They just want you to be billable and couldn’t care less as to how you’re actually progressing in your “career” - also they love to throw around buzzwords like “career growth” but they are misleading you. My branch is a revolving door and they don’t care if you’re unhappy. The only way to grow a company is to retain employees, and because people are constantly quitting, there’s no stability. You’re thrown from site to site with all this equipment that you’re expected to carry with you at all times in YOUR OWN PERSONAL VEHICLE. Having been on construction sites for the last 7 months, ECS is the only company I’ve witnessed that requires employees to use their vehicles as if it were a personal truck. I could go on and on but you get the gist. Unless you’re in desperate need of employment, stay away.
