Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and feedback. We truly appreciate your contributions over the past few years and are grateful for your recognition of our compensation, team members, and flexibility with remote work. We’re also sorry to hear about the concerns you've raised. Maintaining a strong culture and a sense of unity is incredibly important to us, and we take feedback like yours seriously. While EDB has grown and evolved significantly, our goal remains to foster an inclusive environment where all employees—regardless of level, location, or background—feel valued and supported. We acknowledge the comments about morale, pressure, and the perception of favoritism or lack of career clarity. These are areas we are actively working on through increased transparency, improved career development frameworks, and a continued focus on leadership accountability. We are also investing in culture-building efforts to reconnect our global teams around our shared mission and values. We’d welcome a deeper conversation if you’re open to it—anonymous or otherwise—so we can better understand your perspective and learn how we can do better. Thank you again for your feedback and for being part of EDB.

Pros

- Access to several great sales tools and platforms - Decent pay - EDB is well respected in the Postgres community - Working to innovate quickly

Cons

- Most of the leadership lacks technical data expertise which creates friction in the sales motions and positioning. - Currently a small total addressable market. EDB does not compete well with cloud competitors and primarily is geared towards on-prem Postgres in a market that continues to migrate to the cloud. - High turnover across the sales org. - Long, difficult sales motion accompanied by expectations for quick wins.
