Pros

Free tour, amazing co-workers and nice office space

Cons

deliverables of over 100+ cold-calls to teachers in the middle of the summer?! Treated as a number not a teammate by any higher-ups. inter-team competition did not foster a kind or learning environment

Thank you for your feedback. I’m happy to hear that you had a strong connection with your colleagues and that you were able to see the world with us. However I am sorry to hear of your negative experiences during your time with our team. Training is a huge priority for us, both in the onboarding stage and in continued professional development. We invest heavily in our ongoing Entrepreneurial Sales Development Program, which ensures strong preparation for the role while also nurturing individual professional goals. Territory Managers do drive the strategy for sales growth in their region. Occasionally this does require a high call volume but strategies are always tailored to the needs and growth potential of a specific area. We do foster an environment of healthy competition and utilize inter-office contests (ex. Top performers trip) to create a fun, engaging sales environment. -- Mike Kaufman, Sr. Director of People Operations

Well this is what it's all about! Early career opportunities while having fun along the way is a big part of what we hope people experience working at EF, and we are happy to hear this in your reflection. Thank you for sharing your note on compensation as well. We review our compensation packages regularly to make sure they align with our industry standards, and we appreciate your perspective on that.

Pros

Well structured, comprehensive formal training. Perks and benefits

Cons

Once training is done, you’re pretty much on your own to figure things out. The weekly meetings with your manager end. You spend all day on the phones and there’s not a whole lot of interaction or collaboration going on in the office or across your team. At the end of the day it is a job and the perks and benefits are nice (travel). It just seemed social interaction of any kind, even to ask questions, was discouraged and in fact was viewed as distracting. The cold calling just gets to be tiring after a while, making it hard to stay at the job for longer than 1-2 years. Good entry level sales job, though.
