Pros

- Get to work with interesting students from around the world - Get to work on a beautiful campus with benefits such as a gym and pool for free -Can get on-campus housing if needed -Lots of young people to work with and make friends with -Tarrytown is one of the best places to live. Fun and cute small town near NYC -Some fun events involved in working at EF

Cons

-Everyone is expected to work overtime almost every day with no special pay -No consideration for work/life balance, especially if you live on-campus -Full-time positions are very underpaid -Will be fired if you object to any corporate policies or refuse to work 60 - 80 hrs/wk -Understaffed during crazy summer when most students are there, so students tend to take it out on interns and workers instead of management...have to deal with complaints everyday -No organization or separation between job titles.. confusion on who does what, and if you're a nice person who wants to work hard and get praised, you will be overworked (taken advantage of) and not praised in the least

Pros

You get to choose your tour and recruit the students you want to bring. The paid chaperone ratio is 6:1, so it is very manageable. The tours are great and the local experts are wonderful.

Cons

Company support is variable. There is high turnover and new consultants are very sales motivated and don't always get the nuances of your school or community group. I have had some WONDERFUL concusltants, but they have always been promoted before I get to work with them again.
