Pros

If fun to work here- they have a really big budget for parties, internal celebrations, bar in the office- fun colleagues/etc. Beautiful office to enjoy- you'll meet good people and enjoy going into the office

Cons

You'll be paid under market. Always. If you are well-liked, you'll have a lot of opportunity to try different things within the company and get to do a lot of travel/etc. They internally call moving around a "spiral staircase"- aka you just keep doing different roles without moving up and this is a way for them to 'reward" you without paying you more. You would not believe the number of conversations I have been in where there were discussions about how to retain employees and motivate them without paying more.If you are not well liked, you will have no opportunities no matter how hard you work or how good you are. Recognize if this is you and leave- it won't change and it feels horrible and is mentally very unhealthy. Also- if you stay too long, you will not be able to get hired anywhere else- the experience you gain here can be very silo-ed and niche and no one anywhere else will care that you led an internal team to spearhead a conference of some kind- i have seen this happen to multiple people who stayed too long and had a fancy Director title then couldn't get a job elsewhere. In my opinion, the most ideal person to work at this company is someone who comes from wealth and needs a fun job but doesn't need to make a lot of money or have career growth. They have excellent health benefits and other perks. but if you need money and growth- not the best place

Well this is what it's all about! Early career opportunities while having fun along the way is a big part of what we hope people experience working at EF, and we are happy to hear this in your reflection. Thank you for sharing your note on compensation as well. We review our compensation packages regularly to make sure they align with our industry standards, and we appreciate your perspective on that.

Pros

Well structured, comprehensive formal training. Perks and benefits

Cons

Once training is done, you’re pretty much on your own to figure things out. The weekly meetings with your manager end. You spend all day on the phones and there’s not a whole lot of interaction or collaboration going on in the office or across your team. At the end of the day it is a job and the perks and benefits are nice (travel). It just seemed social interaction of any kind, even to ask questions, was discouraged and in fact was viewed as distracting. The cold calling just gets to be tiring after a while, making it hard to stay at the job for longer than 1-2 years. Good entry level sales job, though.
