Pros

There are no good reasons to work at EFI

Cons

The Vice President of Operations is nasty and condescending to his employees, and HR just looks the other way. They are there just to protect him and make sure he doesn't get into trouble. They don't care about helping their individual contributors at all. The Production "Director" expects his supervisors to constantly jump through hoops by piling more and more responsibility onto them yet providing no training, coaching or incentive. He has never worked a day in his career on the manufacturing floor yet he expects the thing to "run itself" without really having any clue as to how it actually runs. He never has his employee's backs, never defends them to other departments, and will throw them under the bus if he gets the chance. The overall management team of the VP, Director of Operations, and Director of Sustaining Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering is the worst team of managers you could ever work for. Everything is hush, hush top secret; there is no consistency in the way they treat their employees; the lazy ones still have jobs; while the ones who work hte hardest and truly cared were laid off because they didn't agree with managing by fear and intimidation. The company is building a nice new facility in Manchester but just laid off 32 employees, and told everyone else there will be no raises for two years. They constantly expect their employees to keep doing more with less and offer no real incentive. They truly do not care about their people. To them it is all about reaching that billion dollar revenue goal.
