I would recommend EMC to everyone and I do. When new positions are open, I reach out to people I think would thrive here. Which reminds me, there is a referral bonus too. Benefits are the best ever. You can use an HSA account but I really didn't need to put much in there which was awesome.
Cons
Emc is moving away from the Mapper system so that is good, but since we still use it I will list it as a negative. For those of you who do not know what Mapper is, it is a flat file system with very little flexibility. Most of the cons I can come up with are probably related to technology but they are working on it and do have some plans in place to remedy the situation. I think your career opportunities really depend on your manager and if he/she is willing to work with you on possible future endeavors. And I think opportunities are probably more prevalent in Des Moines than in the branch offices.
