Pros
EMCOR is a big company made out of small companies, and maintains this small company ethic. I work for the government service division that is a fish out of water compared to the rest of the company. However, I can say honestly that the company is very ethical and is concerned with work/life balance. I have progressed significantly over my nearly five years here, and have been given the leeway to play to my strengths.
Cons
It maintains that small company mindset that makes it backward when it comes to processes and tools. It doesn't know whether to act like a big company or a small one, so it's frustrating to see it sub optimize its business with low margin jobs.
