Pros

Co-founders truly care about team members, their mental health, and their physical health. It's fine to take off for doc appointments, therapy, or other medical/mental health needs. Super-collaborative team, communication is good. Deadlines are realistic, and team members are not expected to pull 60-hour-weeks. Sometimes overtime is required, but that's not the norm. Team is kind-hearted, patient, and hard-working. Healthcare, dentist coverage, and a 401(k), plus, sales commissions for upselling.

Cons

Sometimes it can be hard to have coast-to-coast clients: you walk into an email storm at the beginning of the day from the Eastern clients, and as you are trying to wrap up your day, the Pacific clients still need attention. It's very important to note that this is not some failure on the company's part- it's just how the client load shakes out.

Pros

Lots of learning opportunities. Accommodating to situations inside and outside the workplace. Flexible. Lunches supplied everyday. Collaboration and discussion between developers encouraged. Your opinion matters. Time off for holidays.

Cons

Can be stressful at times, but very infrequent, usually only during crunch times. Sick time and vacation are shared.

Thank you for your feedback about the shared pool of sick and vacation time. I apologize that we did a poor job of explaining the benefits of it, when you first came on board. The idea behind having a shared pool for sick and vacation days, is that you can use your days however you want ,without being restricted to X number for sick and Y number for vacation...ie, your hours, your choice. We're trying to provide you more flexibility, so if you're not prone to getting sick, you get more vacation days. Also, as you now know we give everyone a week of paid time off between Christmas and New Years. In addition to that, as you also know, when everyone is caught up and there's a good opportunity, we like to give everyone surprise days off or short days. Yes, work can be stressful. It comes with the territory. Our customers and our agency partners expect a lot from us, and we're determined to always meet, and when possible, exceed their expectations. As you know, this job definitely requires a servant's heart.
