Pros
- Standardized development processes; - Clear career path; - Well defined roles and responsibilities; - Flexible hours; - Opportunities to work on different projects and learn different things; - Great office, nice colleagues, social benefits.
Cons
- Changing projects too often can happen - each project has a new team and new responsibilities; - Not a lot of personal choice on what project you are going to work on; - Experience with a project really depends on the management of a project. You could be in a great laid back project and then go to a really rushed, high-pace stressed one; - The company is focused on making money and compared to e.g. VMWare are less focused on making the employees happy; - When crisis comes in the management reacts conservatively and alleviates risk by staff/payments cutting, so the employees take the impact.
