Pros
The leadership is very fixated on doing the right thing, big picture business decisions are made with long term growth in mind, lots of opportunity to grow into leadership roles, at least two directors started out as fork truck drivers and have some of the most insightful views of the business I've ever seen in leaders at that level. This company is bristling with analytics and the most effective continuous improvement implementation I've ever seen.
Cons
High hourly employee turnover is a constant problem causing a constant "learning curve" situation, a large spend on training. Since it is a privately held company there is no profit sharing or stock options. Due to the size of the company the benefits are not as good as some of the bigger companies in the central PA area. There is still dental, medical, vision etc, just not super great prices. Company runs 24/365, no breaks and some people don't take vacations or feel like they can't and get burned out.
