Pros

Pay is good not great for my amount of experience (parted in 2021). Direct manager, Steve Leonard, was kind and a great advocate for his employees. Had a nice work vehicle, and a gas card that I could use for commuting. Testing equipment was in good condition. I was on a cool transportation project. Work was pretty relaxed…

Cons

Culture at the Raleigh and Charlotte office was stuffy and a little bit dated. Upper management was not involved with projects directly, and seemed to have issues obtaining work without being the subconsultant for other competing firms. Little opportunity to work in other departments.

Great Opportunity to learn. Nice office.

Cons

A lot of finger pointing without understanding the full picture. Company has gotten away from investing back into the company, like new equipment upgrade computers, etc. It is more about keeping private equity ownership happy than it is about keeping the employees happy. You could have 200+ hours of PTO and when you leave, you see none of it back. You invest in the company and get none of that investment back.
