Below are a number of negative aspects of working at EVPassport. Note that EVPassport requested a number of employees write Glassdoor reviews. That is why there is a cluster of 5-star reviews around the same time that may inaccurately reflect the actual sentiment amongst employees. (i) Culture: The culture is terrible and dictated by 2-3 top executives who have a "my-way-or-the-highway" approach to management. This has resulted in a scared employee base and high turnover. (ii) High Turnover: One needs to look no further than EVPassport's very high turnover rates to understand there is a significant issue. (iii) Short-Term Vision: EVPassport is backed by a PE firm. The vision is to quickly increase sales at all costs and then sell the company. This results in a pump-and-dump approach to employees. Each employee is seen as highly disposable and there is virtually no stability at the company right now. (iv) Broken Promises & Bad Faith Dealings. There is bad faith communication around compensation. Equity compensation is promised but never granted - or worse - employees are strategically terminated prior to their equity vest date. Above-market compensation is promised during recruiting but then employees are then terminated even if they are top performers.
