Pros
Good people doing the day to day work.
Cons
Compensation and benefits unfortunately cannot make up for the poor culture. Upper/ Exec leadership with the exception of few leaders are out of touch with reality and the people who do the hard work. They don’t mind fluffing their own pocketbook first with bonuses and high comp. The company also has so many director level & above roles which makes it top heavy with no strong strategy & quick to get rid of roles due to whatever reason. No job is safe there. Most leadership of the “People Team” is the worst. They bought a new building during the pandemic and asked employees to come back to the office. Their “purpose” for it, to collaborate, is just a buzz word because they spent too much money on a building that nobody wants to fill. The change was implemented within two weeks , right before the holidays with no thought about how it impacts people . This is another example of how executives are out of touch with reality and constantly changing things on the employees. Instead of purchasing buildings to try and look the part in expensive areas, try putting that money towards the people who actually do the day to day work and not laying them off. Spend the money to do group/department trainings once a year in person and rent out a space for that time. Give employees a break from the constant (unnecessary change) that impacts their lives in a moments notice. Focus on what’s important to move the company forward vs. being worried who’s badging into a building to sit on zoom calls. It’s sad, because the company has a great product, but they treat their employees like they’re nothing.
