Competitive pay for mall retail. Good bonus program that extends to all levels of employees including seasonal associates. Operations (damages, shipment, transfers, supply orders) are all intuitive and easy to do. Open communication with Home Office. Attainable sales goals. Good 401K match and insurance plan.
Cons
There are several avenues for communication so it can be hard to keep up - things can easily missed if you're not staying on top of it. The Workplace platform can get catty sometimes. In locations with strong store level leadership and DM presence, it's a total dream job. I have seen, in other locations, hyper-competitive teams, toxic leadership, and lack of accountability. It seems the further away from Home Office you get, the lower the standards. There is also a lot of plastic waste from shipment and I wish they could address it at home office instead of tasking stores with it- they have much more room to make an impact at the corporate level than we do as individuals.
