Pros
I really enjoyed my team while I was an environmental communications specialist. Having strong time-management skills was crucial for the role. Everyone was very friendly and easy to work with. I enjoyed working in a place where everyone cared a lot about the environment. They have a tuition reimbursement plan which I used to help finance my graduate degree. This was clutch!
Cons
Promotions and pay raises are extremely rare. I worked there almost 5 years and had to fight for a tiny promotion. Titles and salaries are infrequently revised and there was no opportunity to move up into management positions which is why I ultimately left.
