Pros
I loved the environment at Easter Seals; it always felt as though there was an event coming up or some sort of gather. As a behavioral interventionist, we mainly interact with our clients in their homes. Easter Seals made me feel apart of a community and welcome to free food during meetings and straight-forward trainings. Also, I always knew my program managers where there for me, however I needed it. As I grew as a BI, the more I knew that my PM was there to help me out with tough situations or to give me advice. Really awesome people just in general.
Cons
Working in disability services can be taxing in unexpected ways. Often, I would wonder if I was doing enough or helping the most efficient way. I would have appreciated more hard feedback and tough critiques throughout my time. Also, many of the trainings were boring and quite straight-forward common-sense.
