Pros

Pay, benefits. Tennessee community. Friendships.

Cons

Constant talking down of performance. Employees just being fired and disappearing without any acknowledgement apart from the rumour train. Terrible for morale. Constant cost cutting even when making money. Focus on share price alone and not long term outlook. Refusal to hold CEO to account and pushing sacrifice on the lower people. Fear of speaking out. Senior management are YES people as they fear repercussions. Micro management from a high level. Focus on quantitative performance over qualatitive. Bi annual change in strategy based on which consultantcy firm is contracted at the time.

Pros

Friendly, helpful colleagues. Vast variety of opportunities for engineers, especially younger ones. Actively supporting the communities where we live and work. Recent changes in management have restored positive outlook.

Cons

A lot of eggs are in the circular-economy basket rather than having the risk more evenly distributed among our product streams. We've lost a lot of talent recently to other businesses, partly because of unhappiness with former management but partly because of pay. Annual pay increases exist but have not even come close to keeping up with inflation.
