Pros

- Finally focusing on better technology - Brand recognition in Southern California - Some very friendly people in the organization - Refresh of brand

Cons

The reality of Eastridge is that the company is very far from its glory days (in terms of revenue). The latest attempt to turn things around involved rebranding each division as Eastridge Workforce Solutions. At the end of the day, this is a family-owned company, and this is non a place for someone looking for a long-term career. Management sings a good tune, but people are completely expendable here. The owner is about doing everything on the cheap, the benefits aren't very good, and I just wish they were able to see how their words are out of alignment with how they actually treat people.

Thank you for your feedback. As you know, one of our core values is communication and we truly value open, respectful communication. Our purpose is to provide opportunity and enrichment through work. I do feel bad that you are not experiencing this at Eastridge Workforce Solutions, especially after 6 years. With specific feedback, we can always do better. I would like to address some of the comments in your review. Regarding revenue, we are proud to be #1 for 9 years straight in San Diego according to the San Diego Business Journal, and we are once again a top 100 staffing firm according to Staffing Industry Analysts. We also expect to hit record revenue in 2015. Regarding your comment on our company doing things on the cheap, again, we can always do more. But, we are proud of the significant financial investments we have made in our rebrand (including a new website, office signage, business cards, marketing material, and more), new VoIP communication system, new applicant tracking system, new Vendor Management System, and more. We are also proud that in the last year we hosted our first annual all-employee conference for 250 employees, are hosting our first annual company-wide sales conference in March, planning our second annual all-employee conference in December, added an additional paid holiday, doubled our referral bonus, and on the day your review was posted, announced a significant enhancement to our 401(k) program. We are also proud to have launched a company-wide incentive program and based on the final results, we will either be rewarding an employee $25,000 or perhaps (likely) a brand new TESLA. Also, you mention this is not a place for someone looking for a long term career. Perhaps we could have done a better job of communicating those who have been promoted in the last year. Here is a small sample of internal promotions in the last year – Operations Manager in Cerritos, Operations Supervisor in Anaheim, Operations Manager for Safety and Workers’ Comp, Branch Manager in Mira Mesa, Director of Operations in Mission Valley, Marketing Manager, and our CAO for Workforce Recruitment. With a Glassdoor rating of 4.9 out of 5, your review certainly indicates a disconnect and we truly want to help. You have an open invitation to speak with your manager, our HR/Legal department, President, or CEO so we can discuss how we can help meet your expectations or otherwise provide you with opportunity and enrichment. -Seth Stein, President, Workforce Recruitment

Pros

I was contacted by an internal recruiter from Eastridge Workforce Solutions (EWS) concerning this role they were currently sourcing for and on paper it was my ideal role. I was currently on a contractor role that was about to end so the timing couldn't have been more perfect. I had several interviews that I felt went well and I was hoping that the interviewers felt the same way and shortly after I got word that they did. I accepted the role and started about a month ago and accepting this role was one of the best decisions I could have ever made. The company, the employees, the culture, the benefits, onboarding, etc. was all simply amazing. I am so happy to be a part of the EWS family and look forward to being a part of this company for many, many years to come!

Cons

I have not encountered any cons concerning working at EWS to date.

Pros

I’ve been with Eastridge for many years, and one of the things that has kept me here is the people. There is a genuine sense of support across the organization, from colleagues to leadership, which makes a big difference in a fast-paced industry like staffing. Leadership is transparent and approachable, and they care about the success and development of their teams. I’ve had the opportunity to work with leaders who lead with both empathy and accountability. They encourage you to grow, challenge you to be the best version of yourself, and create an environment where people feel supported while still being pushed to improve. Work-life balance is respected, and there is an understanding that people perform best when they feel supported both professionally and personally. Over the years, I’ve also had the opportunity to learn new things and expand my experience across different areas of recruiting. Being exposed to different types of roles and challenges has helped me grow professionally and continue developing new skills. The staffing industry as a whole has certainly faced challenges over the past few years, but one thing I’ve consistently seen is Eastridge’s ability to stay resilient and adaptable. The company continues to find ways to evolve, differentiate itself in the market, and maintain a strong culture. Overall, it’s a place where relationships matter, growth is encouraged, and people are given opportunities to contribute in meaningful ways.

Cons

The staffing industry is always changing, so individuals need to stay adaptable during changing market conditions. The environment is also fast-paced, which requires strong organization, dedication to performance and time management.
