Pros
decent benefits, nice company outings, personal protective equipment is supplied.
Cons
No overtime notification, they tell you your working 8 hrs at the start of the shift and then inform you halfway through its 10 hrs and you need to be back in 8 hrs for another shift. Awful work/life balance their motto should be "you live here now". 1st shift is where the "old timers" reside, I say reside because they are certainly not working. They produce 1/4 of the numbers required and the other shifts must pick up the slack. management DOES NOT CARE about any of the problems that arise because of this they just shrug their shoulders and say "you know how first shift guys are, they put in their time...) If you take pride in your trade do not work here. They just push product out the door even if it failed quality control to meet deadline (lots of returns). Management uses the company as a stepping point for their career then happily move on. Pay is sub par for welding and the wage increases are a joke, 3% a year(until you top out in your pay scale) for everyone even if your the hardest working employee or the guy who hides in the bathroom all day. LOTS of misleading info and out right lies from upper management down to shift leads. They claim culture and values but its all for show to look good to potential new hires and customers they don't actually believe in them. Oh and lets not forget the gossip, back stabbing, and nepotism.
