Pros

aton offers a good work environment with a collaborative team culture. Job stability is strong, and there are solid learning opportunities, especially for those starting their careers in electrical engineering or manufacturing. The company promotes a strong safety culture and has well-defined standards and processes.

Cons

The software tools we use are outdated and feel at least 10–15 years behind compared to competitors like Schneider Electric or Siemens. This creates inefficiencies and slows down daily work. Many processes could be significantly improved with modern tools or automation, but there’s a lack of investment in digital transformation.

Pros

Q & CI are supported overall from the top. Quality Management Systems and procedures are embedded in the company culture...across all of Eaton. No matter what site or city you go to, it is overall the same QMS. Roles and processes are standardized, people know where to find their standard work and understand the processes...although not always followed. Overall support of iERGs is good. A lot of people stay for their entire career, so longevity can be a pro, but a con as well. Company recognition is good overall.

Cons

Low pay. Good ol' boy network for promotions. Slow to promote. Calibration process for annual performance ratings is a bit questionable at times. Company culture drastically changed over the years as LDPs (Leadership Development Participants...a rotational program) started being promoted too quickly without the maturity, wisdom and experience needed for the roles. Lack of diversity at local sites, although corporate level roles were very diverse.
