Pros

- Decent hourly pay ($22/hour starting + overtime pay) - No micromanaging, work is done based on your own skills and motivation - Good benefits for healthcare, 401k, company car + gas card. - Good "teamwork" environment. Despite being alone most days, I always had good support and help from teammates and supervisor.

Cons

- HORRIBLE workload for the high amount of accounts you manage. Stressed 100% of the time and always feeling "rushed" and "behind". - Ecolab products seem like they are designed to break/not function properly. This makes servicing customers a nightmare each and every day. - Poor commission/bonus structure. Does not motivate us to sell more. Its something like "achieve 300% of monthly budget and you'll get an extra $500!". If I achieve 300% budget I would expect like a $10,000 bonus, but they stop at $500 pathetic. - Bad training in my opinion, sets you up for failure. - You work at least 1 weekend a month, and are "on-call" every night. For this job, "on-call" means you will most likely be called in to service an account 2-3 nights per week. - No room for career advancement. I had incredible co-workers and teammates who have been there for 20+ years. They are well-liked and very knowledgeable & efficient in their work. They STILL have not gotten promoted to a higher level role of any sort. I had the same job titles as them and I felt guilty in a way.

Pros

The pros are four day work week 10 hour days, with many Fridays volunteer overtime They try to make a friendly environment

Cons

The pay is not as good as the other places around the area – odd for a fortune 200 company Daily quotas on work – some of them are unrealistic Many department supervisors – a.k.a. “coaches “ are pretty good – one or two are not. Typically these are the ones that have been there for 25 years plus. 20 minute break in the morning, 20 minute break for lunch 10 minute break in the afternoon You are truly on your feet for majority of the 10 hour day The corporation tries to make a friendly environment, but very few employees involve themselves in it. Much backstabbing among line workforce, not a healthy environment. Line workforce runs to supervisors constantly about other people when they should be concerned about their own work. Management has their favorites and you could see that by who who they talk to, and who Brown noses them
