Manager/ owner was flexible when I needed a day off because of a health related reason.

Cons

Owner/ manager asked me to do a few things that I considered unethical. He also wanted me to run hotel errands on my personal time. He was also wanted me to be on call for any hotel problem without on call pay. If anyone came to ask for a job the first thing he would ask is what race they were. When someone did something wrong he would yell at them. Overall very unprofessional, unethical and low pay.

The pros are I really enjoyed my job and the people I worked with. I still talk to all of them.

Cons

I worked there for a year but found limited opportunities for growth or fair compensation. When additional responsibilities such as room cleaning were added to my role, I requested a modest raise, which was declined despite already being paid below the standard rate for receptionists.
