Pros

- You have an opportunity work with very smart people that come from a host of backgrounds (marketing, PR, advertising) - Transparent management (monthly all-hands) - It’s really a great place for an entry-level person to start and gain the most experience

Cons

- Tech is an unevolved practice with old guard clients, therefore aren’t winning business with emerging tech companies - For positioning themselves as an integrated marketing communications firm, Edelman tends to operate in very siloed practices that make it impossible to get anything done in a timely manner - The review process is horrific; would advise that new employees schedule weekly or bi- weekly meetings with your manager and archive copious notes to use when it comes time for you annual review (which feels like you’re writing a senior thesis) - As with any firm, Edelman is a revolving door. - Systematically an overall cold culture - Salary base pay is a joke (in comparison to what other Bay Area- based agencies offer) unless you have good negotiating skills.

Based on identical language shared in a Glassdoor review for Seattle, it appears as if you have submitted two reviews one day apart for two different offices. It would be helpful to better understand your concerns and their associated location if you're open to reaching out to me at maria.okeeffe@edelman.com. Maria O'Keeffe, Executive Director, US HR

Pros

Great clients. Great people to work with.

Cons

Office politics. Silly things that were sold to the client that just did not make sense.

Pros

I worked with some of the brightest and best people in the business. Most of them are no longer with the company. Some good clients, and nice office space.

Cons

Very limited opportunities for growth. During my time they reduced promotions to only once a year, and made many excuses for promoting as few people as possible (despite becoming the first "$1B" agency at that time). Morale was extremely low. People were forced to come into an office with nobody they actually worked with. Common to be passed from manager to manager. At one point I had 6+ managers within a 10-month span.
