Pros

Free lunch on your first day; frequent company meetings Some interesting projects across the team Other Edelman colleagues (as opposed to Edelman DxI) are friendly and eager to help CEO is friendly and keeps employees updated

Cons

Support network not great - extensive online training video library, but you'll only get hands-on help from teammates if you complain to management (and even then, teammates are swamped and will themselves complain that they need to spend more time on helping others) Very siloed - you work on your area and nothing else, even if you have free time and can help other teams New business pitches only use who's available, instead of using the best person for that pitch. In more than one case, the pitch criticised a current client (without stating it was a client) to win the pitch for a competitor's business Management only points out negatives, both of staff who have left or in your performance review - there's no plan to help people improve or work together with others So busy that many meetings began with staff discussing how busy they are. The team leader worked 50 hours on their week off, while others were routinely emailing after 10pm

Pros

I worked with some of the brightest and best people in the business. Most of them are no longer with the company. Some good clients, and nice office space.

Cons

Very limited opportunities for growth. During my time they reduced promotions to only once a year, and made many excuses for promoting as few people as possible (despite becoming the first "$1B" agency at that time). Morale was extremely low. People were forced to come into an office with nobody they actually worked with. Common to be passed from manager to manager. At one point I had 6+ managers within a 10-month span.
