Pros

Edelman has a great reputation and works with the biggest clients in every industry

HORRIBLE pay - This company should be ashamed by how little they pay their lower level employees. There is no adjustment to compensation based on location or inflation so if you want to work at Edelman and live in a city like Chicago or Manhattan good luck because you won't be able to afford basic necessities. No work life balance + long hours - The days are long and stressful. It is extremely rare to be done with work at 6pm and you will be expected to work until you finish a project no matter what time it is. You will also likely have to work during PTO (if you can even find the time to take it) and while the company tells employees to use their PTO, they make it extremely difficult to do so. Huge workload - Teams are understaffed and leadership makes promises to clients that are unrealistic and require huge amounts of work for lower level team members. The workload is overwhelming and exhausting and even during quieter weeks you will be bombarded with projects. Employees are stretched paper thin and team leads don't do anything to rectify it. No opportunities for growth- Promotions are decided by high level leadership who don't even know who you are. Your accomplishments, work quality, personal development, and effort barely have little to no impact on your growth in the company. While the company claims promotions are merit based that's not true, you're grown is based solely on how good you are at sucking up to execs.

Pros

I worked with some of the brightest and best people in the business. Most of them are no longer with the company. Some good clients, and nice office space.

Cons

Very limited opportunities for growth. During my time they reduced promotions to only once a year, and made many excuses for promoting as few people as possible (despite becoming the first "$1B" agency at that time). Morale was extremely low. People were forced to come into an office with nobody they actually worked with. Common to be passed from manager to manager. At one point I had 6+ managers within a 10-month span.
