Pros

Office has mildly pleasant decor and complimentary lunches certain days. (dependent upon location)

Cons

The highest leadership does not care about you. Not at all. Everyone is replaceable so killing yourself for this job is a mistake. HR is a joke. Every HR is a weak-willed person that can’t stand up to the brashest senior leader bully pulling their strings. It’s all about productivity and billing clients, and then awards so that Edelman can promote itself all the while the people that made that happen are barely acknowledged. Massive layoffs (3rd year in a row) and right before the holidays, show how unstable and unfeeling the company is. They obviously knew it was necessary but wanted to keep people working until they were no longer necessary. If you have options, do NOT work here. It’s also a nepotism cess pool and there’s no getting around that. Clients are hostile and nothing nothing is done to better manage those relationships as Edelman wants the money and account people need to take the abuse. Forced to be in the office 60% of the time. Office is freezing.

Pros

I worked with some of the brightest and best people in the business. Most of them are no longer with the company. Some good clients, and nice office space.

Cons

Very limited opportunities for growth. During my time they reduced promotions to only once a year, and made many excuses for promoting as few people as possible (despite becoming the first "$1B" agency at that time). Morale was extremely low. People were forced to come into an office with nobody they actually worked with. Common to be passed from manager to manager. At one point I had 6+ managers within a 10-month span.
