Pros
People who work for edmentum are passionate about education and their customers, competitive pay and decent benefits, flexible schedule, PTO
Cons
No clear direction, no leadership, poor management, too many processes, little to no growth, NO culture. I've worked with edmentum for almost 5 years now. The first 3 years of my career were spent working for Archipelago Learning. The Plato/Archipelago merger truly left me feeling very empty inside. I went from working with fantastic, creative, and supportive leaders and managers to a CEO who acts like a motivational speaker on steroids and a clueless management team who act like robots. Company get togethers, holiday parties, and even friendly communication became a thing of the past. I work my hardest to support our customers and provide the very best to them every single (working) day and I don't receive any recognition. My questions are answered (I'm using the term "answered" very loosely here) with restating my question and regurgitating some sort of response that surely came from above. Suggestions are taken but never put into play. There seems to be no room for growth and as an employee, I have had no support in furthering myself in my position or my career. This leaves me to believe that I am not a commodity for this company but rather just a worker bee......Doing my job because it's what I do to feed the queen. The only reason I am still here is because I truly love what I do and I love our customers. That and I haven't found a replacement job....... yet.
