Pros

Good perks, competitive salary, nice office location. If you belong to a selected group of people, you can define your own projects and bend the rules. If you are in editorials or business development, you may enjoy working at Edmunds.

Cons

If you are an engineer, you will get into sweetshop environment. You are going to jump from one task to another with no end and no recognition. It is completely normal to get rid of good engineers who been with the company for years. One might ask yourself a question, how is it possible for someone who was good for so many years and was promoted several times to become bad suddenly. It is so much easier to get rid of discouraged employees and get new fresh 'resource'. Yes people are 'resource' there. You can be moved from team to team without even being asked.

Pros

My experience here has been exceptional. The company offers a fantastic work-life balance, a supportive culture, and generous perks, all within a fully remote setup. The team is genuinely caring, and I've found ample opportunities for growth thanks to the ability to rotate teams. I initially planned to stay for a copule years before moving to a big tech company, but I've been so impressed that I've been here for many years and plan to stay longer.

Cons

Since the company operates on a nearly full-remote model, there are fewer opportunities for in-person socialization; however, the option to work from the office is always available for those who want to connect with colleagues. While the compensation is competitive and by no means low, it is important to note that it is less than what's offered by major tech companies, and no stock options are included as part of the compensation package.
