They don't have your back and pay is low - Substitute Teacher Edustaff Employee Review

Pros

* Flexibility of job assignments that fit your schedule

Cons

* Pay is too low if you don't have a degree or certificate, which rounds to about $85 a day unless you are lucky enough to contract with a district, which pays $100-$125/day, but that is a rarity * EduStaff doesn't govern Aesop-Frontline, which means NO CONTROL over the site's malfunctions or misinformation. If you accept a job and then get to or near the location, and the info is wrong tough luck. The school is NOT obligated to compensate you for the day, for honest attempt in showing up, because you got lost etc. * Aesop-Frontline supposably has undergone numerous updates since 2018, yet it STILL functions the same archaic way. You remove schools you no longer work at, due to distance etc. but they STILL appear on your account thereafter. You accept a job, and then receive an email confirmation, but then the school cancels the assignment that evening, or the next day, for any reason, and you DON'T get the notice ontime, which means wasted fuel they do not reimburse * School locations are not always accurate, forcing you to Google Map and also call the school, to be certain of where you are going * The schools and teachers ARE NOT REQUIRED to include their class or grade levels, so you are left in dark, over what you will be teaching that day, and the age level. So if you don't want to work with K-6, or 6-8, high school, you are left to contact the school directly, and not get the runaround about the actual assignment. I have known Subs who declined jobs, because of this inconsistency or left early, after arrival.

Thank you for your review! We are sorry to hear of your negative experience with the Frontline Management System. Unfortunately, the absence management system used is at the discretion of the district. However, depending on where you live, we may partner with a neighboring district that utilizes a different system. If you have questions on how to add those districts to your Edustaff profile, please contact our office at 877-974-6338.
