Pros
The people that work here are very friendly and not overly corporate. I never felt like I had to put on an act while I was at work and was truly able to be myself
Cons
Wildly outdated systems and workflows. Much of the monthly work was being done on printed out paper and highly manual processes when I got there. The job title I had did not align at all with the work I was doing which was very much staff accountant in nature. Middle management, specifically the group controller I reported to had absolutely no respect for anyone’s time and was as disorganized of a person as I’ve ever seen. Meetings routinely ran 2-3 hours long and he loved nothing more than sitting down for a deep dive at 4pm or later. Training was punted from said manager to other employees who had their own work to do so it wasn’t great. It was the most reactive culture I’ve seen in my career where hundreds of emails would fly around back and forth all day without anyone wanting to take responsibility for anything. There is also no real career growth opportunities here which surprised me given the size of the company. The only reason I gave it two stars is because the coworkers were genuinely great people and fun to spend my days with
