Great company, if you can afford to be underpaid for your first 3+ years in the firm. - Anonymous employee Edward Jones Employee Review

Pros

Great deal of control over your own success or failure. You have the ability to run your office and visions how you see fit as long as you are legal, ethical and profitable. Huge focus on client satisfaction.

Cons

Feelings of being left alone on an island at times. Management doesn't focus on any type of team atmosphere and, with any sales position, the company only remembers what you have done for them lately. Their computer programs are getting better, but are currently outdated. Compensation is low compared to other firms.

Pros

They have allowed the HBA’s (home based associates) to remain remote

Cons

Micromanagers, they say they are okay if you want to apply to another department within the firm but the minute you do it’s like you get a target on your back. The pay doesn’t match the workload and the word is that you have to quit and then come back to make what you should already be getting paid. Benefits are terrible but 401k is pretty good
