Pros

They will pay you while you study for the series 7 and 66. Very strong market share in the mid west and small towns.

Cons

They tell you they have support staff there to help you, but then you contact them, they are located in St. Louis, and they do not have any experience in the region you are in (I'm referring to the East coast). And people in your region are to busy trying to keep their offices running to give you any advice besides repeating the only advice they seem to know,, to tell you to door knock (Sorry Jim Weddle wants it called "Face to Face", because door knocking has a bad reputation). And the other advice they give is to quite, they spend a ton of money on training then as soon as you ask for advice they tell you to quite (doesn't seem to be a good use of their money). Veteran FAs will admit to not door knocking to build their business but they still act like that is the only way to build your business when you ask for advice. Price structure is so expensive hard to convert anyone from other firms. And door knocking is not practical for urban cities, you might have better luck in a small city. I was in an office that had gone through five advisors in under a year, but they are animate that their system is not broken.

Pros

They have allowed the HBA’s (home based associates) to remain remote

Cons

Micromanagers, they say they are okay if you want to apply to another department within the firm but the minute you do it’s like you get a target on your back. The pay doesn’t match the workload and the word is that you have to quit and then come back to make what you should already be getting paid. Benefits are terrible but 401k is pretty good
