Pros
Cooperative colleagues, not competitive. The firm promotes putting the client first, growing your business through long-term relationships and service, and career-life balance. You have an extraordinary amount of freedom to run the business the way you would like and to recommend investments that you feel are best for your clients--with some limitations. There are no proprietary Edward Jones investments to sell and I have never felt pressured to offer a particular product or service.
Cons
This is a sales job, after all, and it isn't easy. This is particularly true while building your business--which is your responsibility. Because it is a BUSINESS, you have to keep the bottom line in mind. This career path can be quite mentally challenging and the earnings can be unsteady.
