Pros

Once you've built your book of business, the work and pay come easier Travel Awards Program is very good and attainable (but is taxed heavily) Work life balance can be very good once you have stabilized your business Autonomy generally improves with performance

Cons

No matter what they say you don't "manage your own business": HQ dictated we close our office for 6 months due to Covid and we weren't permitted to see our clients face-to-face or even hand documents to them through the door. This was rough on my older clients who are hard of hearing and expect face-to-face dealings. It made it near impossible to attract new, high-quality clients.

Pros

They have allowed the HBA’s (home based associates) to remain remote

Cons

Micromanagers, they say they are okay if you want to apply to another department within the firm but the minute you do it’s like you get a target on your back. The pay doesn’t match the workload and the word is that you have to quit and then come back to make what you should already be getting paid. Benefits are terrible but 401k is pretty good
