Pros
Well for one they have excellent training, I believe the best in the industry! If you're new and looking to get into the financial advisory world, Edward Jones is an excellent place to get your foot in the door!
Cons
After you've been trained, and you're out in the world trying to earn an income, the commission splitting is very poor. They try to make this up with "vacation packages," however if you plan on making this a career, you'll either have to gather A LOT of assets, or find permanent employment elsewhere. The training is excellent, but if you use Edward Jones for it, they will make you pay them back. You don't own your book of business, ever.
