Pros

- Culture: EJ FA offices are broken down into market areas and then regions below that. Every region has local seminars and events that you have the option to take part in every month with the goal of enhancing acumen around wealth management and financial planning. - Summer Regional Meetings: Yearly conference that takes place in June/July usually at an upscale resort in the area (room/board/meals are paid for by EJ)

Cons

- No 'on the job' prospecting training: You are solely responsible for training yourself in the art of prospecting and building your business . Other advisors in the area will give you advice and tips around how they brought in clients, but ultimately you will have to develop your own acumen and process. - Lack of "true" financial planning and product diversity, although they are transitioning to MoneyGuide soon. - No ability to "make your business your own" from a marketing perspective (no website, no custom material)

Pros

They have allowed the HBA’s (home based associates) to remain remote

Cons

Micromanagers, they say they are okay if you want to apply to another department within the firm but the minute you do it’s like you get a target on your back. The pay doesn’t match the workload and the word is that you have to quit and then come back to make what you should already be getting paid. Benefits are terrible but 401k is pretty good
