Good. Support as a starting FA was excellent. Biggest stress was constant need to hit numbers. - Financial Advisor Edward Jones Employee Review

Pros

- Great support as starting FA - Private partnership: You can become an owner of Edward Jones - The harder you work, the better you get paid (in general). - Your own office and assistant

Cons

- Performance ("Exceeding"; "Meeting"; "Below") is based on your 4 month rolling average for gross commissions. Every month you need to be above meeting and preferably meeting. This rolling average increases every month for 5 years. - Falling below exceeding early on (within first 2 years for sure) will bring on a call from a regional leader or mentor to ensure you're not losing steam. Falling below Meeting will bring a call from head office and eventually forced programs to bring up performance.

Pros

They have allowed the HBA’s (home based associates) to remain remote

Cons

Micromanagers, they say they are okay if you want to apply to another department within the firm but the minute you do it’s like you get a target on your back. The pay doesn’t match the workload and the word is that you have to quit and then come back to make what you should already be getting paid. Benefits are terrible but 401k is pretty good
