Pros
This is a really unique company, in that it is disrupting a crowded space, but doing so with IoT technology and a completely unique approach that really differentiates us. First off, the product is amazing and is a true engineering accomplishment. Temperature controlled beds are the future, and once you sleep on a Pod, you really can't go back. Our customers consistently tell us the same thing. The work environment is awesome -- everyone is smart, driven, and self-motivated, so you never have to wonder whether the person next to you is putting in the same effort as you are. The company is growing quickly, so there is a real chance to impact culture and impact the business as a whole. We've also made some excellent executive hires the past year. The biggest pro is the potential -- there is a high floor, and an extremely high ceiling for the company. Each role here has the potential to grow into a full fledged team, creating future internal growth and management opportunities. The executive team is also a big believer in investing in employees, so there's plenty of opportunities for continuing education. We're also very well funded by some of the top VCs in the world.
Cons
The company is growing fast, so it is still catching up in terms of benefits/culture, but we see new additions often, and they are putting a lot of effort/focus into building out the hr/people team to quickly drive this forward. This is not a con, more-so a heads up, but if you're not ready to work hard, I'd say this isn't the place for you. I'm not talking about long hours, because it's pretty standard across teams to put in 8.5-10 hours max a day, but there is an expectation that you take responsibility for your work. We have fun in the office, but there's no room for settling for a B-level effort. If you take pride in your work, this won't be an issue for you.
